Great Charity Manchester run.


The Bupa Great Manchester Run was a great success as millions was raised for charity.
The weather was not the greatest to run in, as it was typical rainy Manchester day with grey skies.
The 10k run had not only the world’s elite of runner’s competeting in it but they were joined by thousands of fundraisers as well.
The route seen runners starting off on Portland Street going past the cities traditional landmarks such as Manchester United’s football ground, the war museum and then finishing off at Hilton hotel. 
Thousands of supporters braved it and were out in force in the crowd to support their family and friends despite the poor weather conditions.
Everyone was running for their chosen charities with many people dressed up in a variety of costumes like sumo wrestlers, batman, Elvis and gorillas.
It was a successful day for everyone that took part as a great amount of money was raised.
